Training

The Texas Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) provides a variety of training programs and resources to meet the needs of local agencies. Services provided by LTAP:

Technical Assistance
The LTAP center is frequently contacted by cities, counties, other state agencies and private companies for technical assistance. Information sharing among these entities is made easier through LTAP programs

Road Scholar Program
The Texas Road Scholar Program offers low-cost, specialized training to county, municipal and road/bridge maintenance personnel. The program provides training for counties and municipalities seeking ways to keep roadways safer and properly maintained at minimal cost.

Roadshows
LTAP annually conducts or arranges one-two day seminars and training sessions on topics of concern to local jurisdictions in street maintenance, management of public transit properties, traffic operations or erosion control. LTAP Roadshows offer low-cost traveling training available upon request.
