Texas LTAP

Roadshows

Training sessions are the heart of the Texas Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP), as technology is transferred directly to the user. LTAP annually conducts or arranges numerous one-to-two day seminars and training sessions on topics of concern to local jurisdictions in street maintenance, management of public transit properties, traffic operations or erosion control.

Diversity in presentation is a must. In some cases, the familiar classroom setting is applicable; in other situations, a more hands-on workshop in a field setting is more effective. The LTAP Roadshow is a low-cost, traveling training program available upon request. Municipalities across the state supply the location and audience while LTAP provides the latest videotapes, films and audiovisual presentations on roadway-related topics. An LTAP engineer presents the program, answers questions and leads group discussions.
